General Overview:

This is a science fiction YA novel about a girl called Mila.  She lives in a quiet town with her mother.  She’s just a normal girl trying to navigate high school, boys, and a slightly over bearing mother.  But her life completely changes the day she gets tossed from the back of a pick up truck.  Filled with suspense, conspiracies, and an ending that will leave you clutching the final book to your chest, this is one thrilling ride.

My Thoughts:

This series is one of the many reasons why I love libraries.  I found the first book there and fell in love.  This series has some of the familiar YA tropes(slight love triangle), but they don’t really take away from the overall effect of the story.  I really liked the science elements behind it and the ending is plausible but that doesn’t take away that it made me tear up.

Reread factor:

This is a series that I might read again when the mood strikes me.  Kinda like the Hunger Games.  It’s not a book that I’ll reread every year but one that will always have a place on my shelf.

Question Time:
