Magic in the Air

So sorry.  I know it’s been a while since I did a poem of the month.  I wrote them, I swear.  I just never got around to posting them.

The days grow short

And the nights grow long

But you can feel magic in the air

Smoke rises from chimneys

And the skies become gray

but you can feel the magic in the air

The wind is cold

And the trees are bare

But there is magic in the air

In the darkest of nights,

Lights will appear

In the trees

On our homes

In our hearts

We shall gather around heavy laden tables

drink our fill, body and soul

and fill the night with laughter and light

The nights are long and cold

But there is magic in the air

And it fills us with hope and light.
