So Hard to Say No.

While I was proofing The Lost Guardian, I took it to work so that I could work on it during my down time.  I also wanted to show my kids.  They were amazed.  They’ve never meet anyone who has wrote a book.  One girl kept saying, “Oh my God!  You’re famous!”

Needless to say, I laughed and set her straight.  No…I’m not famous.  I’m just published.  Would I like to be famous?  It could be fun, but for now, I’m just happy to be done.

Then I got bombarded with questions about my book.  They looked so sad when I told them that my book was for adults and not children.  Then one little boy told me, “Then write one for us.”  The rest of the class immediately agreed with him.  How could I say no to those little faces.  So reluctantly, I’m digging through some of my old stories to see if I have any that are age appropriate.  anigif_enhanced-14358-1412804594-2

I’m touched that they wanted to by my book.  I hope that this will show them that anyone can do anything, as long as they work hard and keep going.  I’ve always wanted to be a writer, but I knew that I would never get anything published because it’s such a hard field to get into.  But now there are so many options available.

So to my kiddies…follow your dreams no matter what.
