Sorry that it’s been so long since I updated. Things have been busy. I’ve been looking into the tests that I need to complete to get my teaching license. The first round of testing is pretty straight forward but the second half…well it’s a little confusing. Oh well. I am excited for Thanksgiving however. This year it will be just me and my husband; something we haven’t had in a while. This year we are roasting a duck. Luckily, a lady that I work with told me that I would be able to get one at a farmer’s market in Wake Forest. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a whole one. We ended up getting a breast and thighs separate. It was a little pricy, but my husband has been looking for duck for a long time. The farmer’s market was small but it had a lot of stuff. I now have a place to get lamb and rabbit. Now all we need to find is veal. Just to be clear, we don’t eat these things all the time, but they are nice from time to time.
I’m still working on the outline for the second book in the Guardian Series. The Lost Guardian is still scheduled to be out in March, but if things keep progressing the way they are, then it might be out a little sooner. We’ll just have to see. I’m super excited though. I never thought that I would reach this point. But now that I have, I’m a little scared. This book is my baby. It’s my first and to put it out there for the world is terrifying. So many thoughts are running through my head. What if no one likes it? What if they do? I have made myself sick worrying over it. I hope that once it’s all said and done with, it will be alright. But I have to wait a little longer to find out.
Till next time!
