As you are all aware this Sunday is Memorial Day. It is a day to remember and honor all those who fought the good fight, but didn’t make it home. Now I don’t know about you but I’m a little perturbed with some posts on Facebook guilt tripping people who enjoy themselves during this time of remembrance. As a veteran myself, I don’t really care that people use this as an excuse to get together and have a good time. While I cannot speak for all veterans, I can say that the ones that I know don’t care either. We all have lost friends either to combat, to accidents back home, or because they didn’t get the help they needed. We remember them but we also celebrate their lives as well. I can assure you that most military people are gathering around the grill this weekend too. We have a moment of silence for those who cannot be here with us, but we still have fun because that is what they would want us to do. So this weekend have your fun just remember to thank those who died on the battle field for you. Semper Fi!

Yes, yes…I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted something. I apologize. Things have been busy with the garden and helping my mom clean her old home so it can be rented. Plus I’ve taken a small break from writing because I’m having problems coming to terms with nearing the completion of my first novel…..
I’ve been dreaming of this moment since I was in middle school, when I first started writing. I never thought that I would finish something and be able to publish it. It’s enough to make your head spin. But other than that things are going good for me right now. I’m back to writing and I should have it ready for the market by March of next year. SO EXCITED!!!!!!
Well I’ve spent enough time chatting it up with you guys. Hope you all are doing well and see you next time!
