Greetings! I hope you all have a wonderful St. Paddy’s day. I don’t plan on drinking this year but for those of you who are old enough to, please be responsible. I plan on making corn beef and cabbage and just relax at home and maybe get some writing done. I’ve been really busy helping a friend of mine get his story off the ground. He has a wonderful idea but if truth be told he’s a little scatter brained. He helped me so much to get The Lost Guardian off the ground so it’s only fair that I help him with his story.
But back to St. Paddy’s….ancestors actually came over from Ireland (well some of them I’m pretty much a mutt). I’ve seen a lot of articles lately trying to “spread the truth” about this holiday. Whenever I read them I laugh. For those who don’t know St. Patrick’s day is actually an American-Irish holiday. When the Irish immigrated to the states they were treated a lot like black people in the 60s. St. Patrick’s Day was the time for them to come together as a community and basically say “We’re Irish so deal with it.”
Just a little of history for ya. I won’t go into everything just wanted to wish you a happy St. Paddy’s day! Till next time.
